Four former employees have filed a civil lawsuit against Smokey Robinson, alleging sexual misconduct and a hostile work environment.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 6, 2025, includes claims of sexual battery, false imprisonment, and gender violence. Robinson’s wife, Frances Robinson, is also named as a co-defendant.
Allegations Spanning Over a Decade
The plaintiffs, identified as Jane Doe 1 through 4, allege that the misconduct occurred between 2007 and 2024. One plaintiff claims she was assaulted over 20 times during her employment. Another alleges she was offered money for sexual acts. The women also report labor violations, including unpaid wages and lack of proper documentation.
Frances Robinson is accused of contributing to a hostile work environment and being aware of the alleged assaults.
Legal Proceedings and Public Response
The plaintiffs are seeking $50 million in damages. As of now, neither Smokey Robinson nor his representatives have publicly responded to the allegations.
The case is ongoing, and further developments are expected.
