After weeks of arguments over the format and rules, the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris took place on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Both candidates went into the event virtually tied in the polls, in search of a campaign-altering moment.
The two candidates faced off on issues facing the nation such as the economy, abortion, and immigration.
