It costs a lot to get Jenna Lyons out of bed.
The former J.Crew executive has made her second controversial fashion choice for a “Real Housewives of New York” reunion, with Bravo revealing that Lyons selected a black bathrobe for the Season 15 sit-down.
But this wasn’t just any hotel robe; Lyons’ Balenciaga look costs a cool $4,069.
“I just wanted to do something unexpected and playful,” she told the Daily Dish of the decision. “I can’t compete in the sexy dress category!”
She went glam with her accessories, however, wrapping her hair up with a black towel-like head wrap and amping up the glitz with crystal-embellished Christian Louboutin heels ($1,595).
Lyons also added some drama with oversized sunglasses and wore her jaw-dropping engagement ring from Cass Bird, along with diamond drop earrings.
Dubbed “Jenna F—king Lyons” by her co-stars due to her high-fashion sensibilities, it’s hardly the first time she’s caused a stir with her fashion choices on the show.
At last year’s reunion — the first featuring the rebooted cast of Lyons, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, Ubah Hassan and Sai De Silva (with additions this year including fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff and model Racquel Chervremont) — Lyons was criticized for eschewing the Bravo-typical ballgown for jeans.
The LoveSeen founder, 56, paired her denim with a totally sheer top, tie and blazer, with fans — who think Lyons often gets a pass on Bravo norms — declaring the look a fashion faux pas.
However, the tides have changed, with positive comments flooding Bravo’s Instagram post spotlighting Lyons’ ensemble.
