Dining Out For Life®, WNCAP’s most popular annual fundraiser, will take place Thursday, April 27, 2023.
Dining Out For Life is an easy and fun way to support WNCAP’s life-saving programs. Now in its 21st year, Dining Out For Life has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support HIV prevention, education, and care in our region. These services help keep families healthy, housed, and fed in communities across the mountains.
“With federal grant shortages and increasing disparities in our most rural communities, it is more important than ever to support HIV care and prevention in our region. Dining Out For Life is a great opportunity for our community to come together to promote a healthier, safer western North Carolina while promoting local businesses at the same time,” says WNCAP Chief Operating Officer Peggy Weil.
Presented by Prestige Subaru and organized in partnership with the Asheville Independent Restaurant Association, the event encourages the local community to eat out at participating restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert on Thursday, April 27. Participating restaurants will offer patrons an easy way to donate to WNCAP via a QR code or online at wncap.org/2023-dining-out-for-life.
“Due to our community’s safe and enthusiastic reentry to public spaces, we are expecting Dining Out For Life 2023 to have a large and exciting turnout,” says WNCAP Development Director, Bellamy Crawford.
The money raised will help provide care coordination, rental assistance, prevention, education, harm reduction, and more. “I am beyond grateful for everything that WNCAP has done for me. They have helped me keep a stable home for my grandkids,” says Linda S., a longtime WNCAP client. All WNCAP services are free, confidential, and available to people in 18 Western North Carolina counties.
