adidas is putting its video game face on and teaming up with the top-selling Minecraft game for an official sneaker collaboration. And yes, it’s an IRL sneaker…with the perfect amount of glitches.

For the pairing’s debut collab, Minecraft and adidas have cooked up an incredibly cool Handball Spezial sneaker flawlessly balancing Three Stripes traditions and details plucked from the famous voxel game universe.

For starters, what looks like smooth black suede takes over the collaborative Handball Spezial alongside accenting purple shades, referencing the appearance of Enderman, those neutral black figures who only attack when bothered or if you stare into its pixelated purple eyes.

By the way, proceed with caution. ‘Cause the Enderman eyes also appear on the heels and laces of this Minecraft collaboration.

Of course, there’s more for Minecraft diehards to fan out over. Most notably, pixelated versions of adidas’ Three Stripes lands on the sidewalls next to the Minecraft branding, resulting in a genuinely neat sign-off that says “Minecraft was here.”

The Spezial’s shoelace system also appears to be removable with a Velcro detail, allowing fans and wearers alike to go lace-free with their Minecraft steppers.

It’s pretty refreshing to see Minecraft go with the Handball Spezial for its debut adidas collab. You’d also expect the extremely popular video game to go with an equally sought-after model like the Samba or even Gazelle.

However, the Handball Spezial is undoubtedly Samba-like with a similar flat-soled look and retro sporty flavor. The Spezial has even made some quiet power moves in both classics constructions and stylishly rugged takes. A mysterious Miami party boy, Daniel Liburdi, along with three others, has been indicted by the US Attorney’s Office in Florida for alleged conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The alleged financial ruse raked in millions, and led to the purchase of three luxury mansions on ritzy Hibiscus Island, as well as one in the Caribbean, according to the feds. One of the island mansions is worth over $40 million.

Liburdi, 35, has made a name on the Miami, Fla., social scene for throwing over-the-top parties at one Hibiscus Island home which has royally irked some of his wealthy neighbors.

Liburdi’s Instagram is full of pictures showing a lavish lifestyle, including topless pool shots, a Blade helicopter and a yacht in Monaco.

The buff dude was previously part of a group of area residents who battled Miami Beach officials over a recent crackdown on extravagant, “commercial-grade” bash during last year’s Art Basel.

(During the December festivities, Leonardo DiCaprio’s charity, Re:wild, threw an intimate bash at one of the Hibiscus Island homes that brought out starry guests including Jamie Foxx, Steve Aoki, Daymond John and Soleil Moon Frye. Though the house was not rented directly from Liburdi.) 

Liburdi along with three others, is accused of raking in $128,144,908.66 in a scheme that included submitting fraudulent applications to U.S. financial institutions to obtain merchant processing accounts, according to a release from the US Attorney’s office on the newly unsealed indictment. 

“After fraudulently obtaining these merchant accounts, the conspirators were then able to accept credit and debit cards to further an e-commerce enterprise which used high-risk and unscrupulous sales techniques,” it reads.

Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, believes Taylor Swift has upped the team’s fanbase by more than a third.

Speaking to People for an article published Thursday, the 25-year-old Chiefs heiress estimated that the 14-time Grammy winner has “grown” the four-time Super Bowl-winning team’s fanbase “between 30 and 40 percent” since attending her first game in September 2023.

It’s no secret that Swift has influenced her dedicated fans to watch football. Ahead of 2024’s Super Bowl, 16% of US shoppers confirmed she influenced their decision to spend money on the big game.

Plus, the New York Times reported in February 2024 that regular-season viewership was up 7% from the previous season.

Hollywood is honoring the life of film legend David Lynch after he died at the age of 78 on Thursday.

The “Mulholland Drive” director’s family announced his passing via Facebook, writing, “There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us.

“But, as he would say. ‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.”

In August, Lynch announced he was diagnosed with emphysema as a result of “smoking for so long” and was “homebound.”

“It would be very bad for me to get sick, even with a cold,” he told Sight & Sound magazine, per the Independent.

The filmmaker shared he could “only walk a short distance before” running “out of oxygen.”

Despite the setback, Lynch took to X that same month to share he would “never retire” from the movie industry.

His cause of death wasn’t revealed.

Justin Baldoni claimed in a new lawsuit that Blake Lively made jokes about his physical appearance while they were filming “It Ends With Us.”

According to the $400 million suit obtained by Thursday, the “Jane the Virgin” alum alleged that Lively “continued to break character” during a scene and started to “speak as herself rather than as Lily, which was extremely confusing for Baldoni.”

“Lively apologized for the smell of her spray tan and body makeup. Baldoni responded, ‘It smells good,’ and continued acting, slow dancing as he believed his character would with his partner, which requires some amount of physical touching,” the docs read.

“Lively took them out of character again and began to joke about Baldoni’s nose, which he laughed off and joked in turn, even as Lively joked that he should get plastic surgery.”

The lawsuit also included a footnote that stated that the “Gossip Girl” actress “alleges Baldoni inappropriately commented on her physical appearance. It was the other way around,” referring to Lively’s December 2024 sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni.

In the lawsuit, Baldoni claimed he’s “publicly expressed insecurities about and has discussed on an episode of his podcast, ‘Man Enough,’ exploring the topic of body dysmorphia.”

The suit also alleges that Lively’s comments about Baldoni’s nose were “captured on camera.”
