Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are engaged!
The couple, who started dating in 2019, announced the exciting news on Instagram Monday alongside a photo of the “New Girl” star showing off her new bling.
“Forever starts now!!! 🥰♾️🥰,” she captioned a selfie of the pair taken after the proposal.
In the snap, Deschanel, 43, proudly held up her hand to showcase her unique engagement ring featuring three colorful stones in a flower pattern.
The “Property Brothers” host, 45, popped the question on Sunday during a family vacation in Scotland, People reports.
Deschanel’s daughter Elsie, 8, and son Charlie, 6 — whom she shares with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik — also played a role in the special moment.
The HGTV star first met the actress in August 2019 while filming an episode of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” with their respective siblings: Drew Scott and Emily Deschanel.
The pair seemingly hit it off and were spotted holding hands the following month — just one week after Zooey revealed she was splitting from Pechenik, whom she married in 2015.
They confirmed their romance in October 2019 when they shared a kiss during a taping of “Dancing with the Stars.”
The pair has been going strong ever since, especially after growing their bond while quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the trying times, the couple shared glimpses into their romance — and at-home haircuts — on social media, with Zooey calling her beau the most “kind, caring, hilarious, generous, creative, nerdy, handsome and all around incredible human” in a tribute for their first anniversary.
