“Sister Wives” stars Janelle and Kody Brown’s son, Garrison, has died at age 25, following an apparent suicide, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
According to the outlet, Garrison passed away at his home in Flagstaff, Ariz., where he had been living on his own after moving away from his family.
The Flagstaff Police Department told TMZ that authorities responded to Garrison’s residence after following a report of a death.
When they arrived, he was dead on the scene, authorities said, adding that he appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Flagstaff Police Department — who noted that Garrison’s brother Gabriel is the one who found him at the house — don’t suspect any foul play, per TMZ, and the death is being investigated as a suicide.
Following the news of his death, Janelle took to Instagram to confirm the news.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” she wrote alongside two photos of Garrison.
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
TLC also told , “We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
Garrison had appeared on “Sister Wives” since 2010, the TLC reality show that has long documented his 55-year-old father’s polygamous lifestyle. His mother, Janelle, 54, was among Kody’s spouses until she split from him in 2022.
