While the final installment of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 13 reunion aired earlier this month, fans are finally getting a glimpse at the messy aftermath of the taping — and production might want to reconsider using white couches again.
Two of the show’s production designers, Matthew B. Kornegay and James Pearse Connelly, shared an Instagram Reel Friday revealing the rental sofas were covered in makeup and spray tan stains after filming, writing, “What really happens with 8 (can’t leave out the Iconic @kathyhilton ) Housewives on 2 rental couches …. Thanks @stanleysteemerofficial.”
In the beginning of the clip, two white couches sit on the stylish set, but the video — set to Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder on the Dancefloor” — then pans to the same sofas covered in self-tanner stains.
“Thank goodness for Stanley Steemer” the Reel reads, showing a bright yellow van from the carpet cleaning company sitting outside as the couches were restored their original pristine shade.
“What a great ad for Stanley steamer [sic]…tough on fake tanner, gentle on couches…” one Instagram user commented on the post.

One fan had a suggestion, writing, “Why not get a cover then just wash it? Be a lot cheaper.”
However, both production designers weighed in, with Connelly writing, “SMART IDEA but we’re up against seat covers not being the most popular aesthetically in BH.”
“That’s for the RGOBH (real grandmas of Beverly Hills) cast,” Cornegay quipped.
