Lola Consuelos can’t catch a break.
The 22-year-old has walked in on her parents, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, having sex twice — and both times were on her birthday.
The longtime “Live” co-host joked in Wednesday’s episode of her “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast that the first time she gave her daughter “the ultimate horrible birthday present” was during a vacation to Italy when Lola was 8.
Ripa and Consuelos, both 52, had not “had a lot of alone time” on the trip and decided it was “now or never” after their three children went to bed.
“I encouraged him to lock … [the] door, and he tells me he did,” the journalist recalled. “All I know is, at a certain point, I made eye contact with my 8-year-old daughter who is standing at the foot of the bed.”
As Lola told her mom she was “thirsty,” Consuelos “vanished.”
Ripa joked, “I don’t know where he went. … [He could have been] hanging from the ceiling.”
The actress told Lola about “Mommy and Daddy [liking] to have special grown-up time” until the little one’s eyes “glazed over” and she could be “tucked into” bed.
“The same thing happened eight years later on her 16th birthday,” Ripa continued. “Same exact thing. She threw the door open.”
Lola had a different reaction the second time around, saying, “‘Oh, my God, life is over. I used to see in color, and now everything is gray. How could you do this to me? What is wrong with you people?’”

Ripa, who first told the story of Lola’s 16th birthday in June 2019, concluded, “The moral of the story is she never learned to knock. Hopefully, by the time she turns 24, we’ll be done having sex.”
She noted that the New York University graduate has been “out of town on her birthday” for the past two years.
