John Mulaney issued a heartfelt note to his longtime partner and mother of his son, Olivia Munn, on social media after she revealed Wednesday that she has been secretly battling breast cancer.
“Thank you for fighting so hard to be here for us. Malc and I adore you. ❤️,” the comedian, 41, wrote to the “Daily Show” alum, 43, via Instagram Wednesday.
He was joined by several other celebrities who sent Munn their well-wishes, including Amanda Kloots, who wrote, “Omg Olivia. Thank you for being so brave in sharing your story with the world. You are a light and I’m sending you so much love and strength.”
Niecy Nash added, “I love you friend. May God continue to bless you with good health and a long happy life ❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️” as Kaley Cuoco chimed in, “Thank you for sharing this! Wow❤❤❤❤❤🙌🙌.”
Munn shared in a lengthy message on Instagram that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023 and had to undergo a double mastectomy.
“In the past ten months, I have had four surgeries, so many days spent in bed I can’t even count and have learned more about cancer, cancer treatment and hormones than I could have ever imagined,” she wrote.
“Surprisingly, I’ve only cried twice. I guess I haven’t felt like there was time to cry.”
Munn — who just made her red carpet debut with Mulaney in January despite dating for three years — said she allowed people to see her amid her health journey only when she had “energy” and could “get dressed and get out of the house.”
The “Predator” star then provided her followers with some helpful tips for early cancer detection.
