Jennie Garth showed support for her former “Beverly Hills, 90210” co-star Tori Spelling after the latter filed for divorce from Dean McDermott earlier this week.
“I’ve always stood beside her, behind her, supported her, and I will always continue to do that,” Garth told People Friday.
“We bonded, [and] forged a really strong, unique friendship at such a young age,” the “What I Like About You” alum, 51, furthered explained, referring to their time together on their ’90s hit teen drama.
“That kind of bond doesn’t ever go away. You know, it’s kind of unbreakable.”
Garth’s kind words came hours after news surfaced that Spelling, 50, filed for divorce from her estranged husband, 57, nine months after initially announcing their split.
The mom of five listed her and McDermott’s date of separation as June 17, 2023, and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
Spelling requested joint legal custody of their five minor children but wanted sole physical custody — with visitation for McDermott to be determined at a later date.
Additionally, the “Scary Movie” actress that the former “Chopped Canada” host be required to pay spousal support and her attorneys’ fees.
Three days before her divorce filing, Spelling was spotted sobbing in her car following a tense conversation with McDermott at a storage facility.
While the details of their discussion are unknown, the “Due South” alum previously told that his estranged wife had been a “great support” for him amid their separation and his sobriety.
