Hoda Kotb gave a rare insight into her relationship with her ex-fiancé, Joel Schiffman.
The “Today with Hoda and Jenna” co-host was talking with Jenna Bush Hager about the importance of children seeing their parents treat each other with love when she brought up the financier.
“I’ve only been with people who are super polite. Like, when I get up from the table, for instance, Joel got up every time –– every time –– even if it’s normal dinner,” Kotb said on a pre-recorded episode of the morning show, which aired Thursday.

Kotb confirmed that she had accidentally grabbed his pair and they “fit.”
“It was sad!” Kotb said while laughing. “I go, ‘Those are your sneakers?!’ He goes, ‘Yeah,’ I was like, ‘Oh my God, that is sad!’”
Kotb previously gave viewers glimpses into her relationship with Schiffman since the exes continue to co-parent their two adopted daughters: Haley, 7, and Hope,…
