Eric Decker is a “vasectomy survivor.”
After years of refusing to get snipped — and welcoming his fourth child with Jessie James Decker — the former NFL player finally had the procedure he’d been avoiding.
“I survived,” Decker, 37, told his Instagram followers Monday.
The social media upload included photos of the retired athlete sleeping off the surgery, icing with a bag of frozen peas and enjoying a drink.
“🙄🤣🤣🤣,” James Decker, 35, commented on the slideshow.
The Kittenish creator has been vocal about her desire for her husband to get a vasectomy since 2021, most recently telling Us Weekly in January 2023 that he feared it would take away his “manhood.”
James Decker explained, “He just won’t do it. So he’s just gonna leave it, I guess. I mean, you know, if it happens, it’s always a blessing.”
Seven months later, the singer announced she was pregnant with baby No. 4.
In an August 2023 Instagram Story Q&A, she admitted that the news was “extremely shocking” and a “surprise” because she “felt like [they] were done” having kids.
Son Denver joined older siblings Vivianne, 10, Eric Jr., 8, and Forrest, 5, in February.
Before giving birth to the little one, James Decker made it clear that she did not plan to expand her family any further.
“[That’s] not even a question,” she insisted to Us Weekly in September, claiming she was “good with four.”
Decker’s vasectomy comes on the heels of another celebrity couple putting a stop to future pregnancy plans.
