Usher‘s career renaissance has continued with his latest round of nominations, which include six nods from the NAACP Image Awards.

Rap-Up confirms that Ursh has been nominated for such awards as Entertainer of the Year and Outstanding Male Artist. He’ll be facing off against the likes of Chris Brown, Burna Boy, Fantasia Barrino, and recent Oscar nominee Colman Domingo for the awards.

Victoria Monet, meanwhile, took the lead in the women’s categories. With a total of five nominations, the “On My Mama” performer is up for such awards as Outstanding Female Artist.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of this year’s nominees, whose outstanding contributions across film, television and streaming, music, literature, podcasts and more have inspired us all,” said NAACP CEO Derrick Johnson in a statement to the outlet.

Those who can’t afford to check out Usher at his long-awaited Super Bowl halftime performance can check him out at the 2024 Lovers & Friends festival, and he’ll be joined by the likes of Lil Wayne, Nas and more.

Going down for just one day on May 4 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, the lineup features an ambitious amount of acts including Ludacris, Nelly, Cam’ron, Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys and many, many more.

As the festival is all about nostalgia, Ursh will be performing his 2004 hit album Confessions during his set, while Weezy will be doing 2008’s Carter III.

Tickets are currently available for pre-sale on the festival’s website.
