The Weeknd Has 2 Of Spotify’s Top 5 All-Time Most Streamed Albums

The Weeknd is now the only artist in the world to hold two of the top five spots on Spotify’s list of the most streamed albums of all time.

As reported by Chart Data on Wednesday (May 1) and confirmed byChart Masters, the Toronto native holds both the No. 3 and the No. 5 spots with Starboy and After Hours, respectively. 2016’s Starboy has a whopping 14B streams on the platform, while 2020’s After Hours is at 12.2B.

At No. 1 is Bad Bunny with Un Verano Sin Ti at 16.3B, while Ed Sheeran’s Divide is at No. 2 with 14.7B and Post Malone‘s Hollywood’s Bleeding sits at No. 4 with 12.6B.

In other news, The Weeknd — who was appointed a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations World Food Program in 2021 —recently made yet another multi-million dollar donation to support the people of Palestine as the region remains in a state of turmoil.

On Monday (April 29), the Canadian superstar set aside $2 million from his XO Humanitarian Fund to feed Gazans amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas that has already claimed tens of thousands of lives over the past six months, the majority of whom are inside the strip.

This effort will provide families with 1,500 metric tons of fortified wheat flour, which equates 18 million loaves of bread that can in turn feed over 157,000 people.

The 34-year-old singer previously allocated $2.5 million worth of emergency meals to the same cause back in December. As a result, he was able to deliver 820 metric tons of food parcels that fed more than 173,000 people over a two-week span.
