Coi Leray is proud of how far she’s come in the music game, so much so that she’s crowned herself the queen of versatility when it comes to her generation of rappers.
The 26-year-old isn’t afraid to speak up when it comes to her place in Hip Hop and receiving the flowers she feels she deserves. Leray hailed herself as the queen of versatility in a tweet on Thursday (July 13). “I’m the queen at versatility in my generation fasho,” she wrote.
The Neighborhood Talk reposted Coi Leray’s bold declaration and fans flooded the comments telling her to pump the brakes while pointing to the likes of Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj.
“Doja sings so well it literally has to be Doja , no disrespect to Coi though,” one person wrote, while another said: “Uhhhh Nicki Minaj is Still very much active in this generation.”

Hours after her versatility proclamation, Coi Leray delivered a raunchy verse on Dave East‘s “Sex So Good.” Meanwhile, she’s still holding strong on the Billboard Hot 100 while tapping into her pop/dance bag on David Guetta’s “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” which landed at No. 72 on this week’s chart.
Coi’s latest assist landed on East’s new Fortune Favors the Bold album, which hit streaming services on Friday (July 14) via Def Jam Records. The album also includes features from Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, Jadakiss, G-Eazy and more.
Prior to unleashing her Coi album last month, Leray flexed her talents and confidently bragged about her skillset in the studio.
“I feel like now we finally realized — my label, team — that no matter what, I’m amazing at this music shit,” she told XXL. “I was the first person that broke on TikTok, so I can’t even get mad if someone says: ‘You’re a TikTok artist.’ I know that my music is timeless and it’s global.”
