Cam’ron & Ma$e Pay Tribute To ‘It Is What It Is’ Regular OJ Simpson

Cam’ron and Ma$e have shared a heartfelt message for OJ Simpson, who passed away at the age of 76 this week.

On Thursday (April 11), soon after the news of the former football player and convicted felon’s death became public, the two rappers shared a montage of clips from his appearances on their sports talk show, It Is What It Is.

“1st OF ALL WE WANT TO SEND OUR HEART FELT CONDOLENCES OUT TO THE FAMILY OF #OJSIMPSON,” the caption read. “2nd OF ALL WE JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU ‘UNCLE O’ FOR GRACING US WITH YOUR PRESENCE, YOU WERE DEFINITELY ONE OF A KIND, YOU BECAME ‘UNCLE O’ TO US CAUSE IT WAS LIKE HAVING A REAL UNCLE AROUND.

“YOU WERE FUNNY & VERY DOWN TO EARTH… WHEN WE SIGNED OUR DEAL THE FIRST CO-HOST WE THOUGHT ABOUT HAVING WAS ‘UNCLE O’ WE SAID OH WE GONE BREAK THE INTERNET WITH #OJ & THAT WE DID, YOU HELPED MAKE OUR SHOW 10x’s BETTER & EVERYONE LOVED YOU…”

The note concluded: “WE WILL CHERISH THESE LAST MEMORIES WE WERE ABLE TO SHARE WITH YOU… YOU WILL FOREVER BE APART OF THE #ITISWHATITISTALK FAMILY [dove emoji] WE LOVE YOU ‘UNCLE O’…. #LLTHEJUICE.”

The embattled NFL Hall of Famer joined the show the aforementioned talk show in September last year to discuss professional football over a 17-minute appearance on video call.

During the chat, he expressed his support for running backs (the position he played for the Buffalo Bills) like New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley and Las Vegas Raiders’ Josh Jacobs, who have been in contractual disputes with their teams as organizations have been reluctant to sign people of their positon to long-term deals.
