Ariana Grande shares Lizzo’s body-positive video after defending ‘thin’ frame

Ariana Grande is invoking Lizzo to enforce her message of body positivity.

Taking to her Instagram Story Thursday to share a video of a bikini-clad Lizzo calling for an end to the “tired” discourse surrounding musicians’ bodies, Grande wrote, “THIS BODY IS ART.”

The “7 Rings” singer went on to tag the fellow Grammy winner and gush, “ilysm [I love you so much].”

In the powerful clip, the “About Damn Time” hitmaker, 34, reminded her followers, “Do we realize that artists are not here to fit into your beauty standards? Artists are here to make art.”

After rattling off a barrage of negative remarks pertaining to physical appearance, Lizzo added, “I wish that comments costed [sic] y’all money so we can see how much time we’re f–king wasting on the wrong thing. Can we leave that s–t back there, please?”

Earlier this week, Grande, 29, publicly encouraged the masses to be “gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies” after she stepped out in London looking “worryingly thin.”

In her lengthy TikTok about the ordeal, the “Wicked” star said she felt the need to address fans’ “concerns” about her weight.

“The body that you’ve been comparing my current body to was the unhealthiest version of my body. I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly,” she explained.

“[I was] at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that in fact wasn’t my healthy.”

Though she did not get into specifics, the “Victorious” alum made sure to add, “You never know what someone is going through, so even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with.”
