He’s officially lost it.
Wacko pol George Santos has admitted he’s on Ozempic.
reported back in August that the congressman was overheard bragging about his weight loss at a party (and claiming he could beat Mitt Romney in a cage match), and that he credited his svelte physique to the wildly popular diabetes drug.
Now Santos tells Meghan McCain on her new podcast “Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat” that he’s been taking the shot.
“In January 2022, I weighed myself in at 350 pounds and I said, ‘No. This has to change’,” he said, “In December 2022, I weighed myself in before the New Year rang in and I was 251 pounds, so that’s 99 pounds in a year.”
“I was pre-diabetic,” Santos told McCain of why he went on the drug. “It totally helped. I think the FDA should really consider looking into it and seeing it as an option for weight loss. Obesity is the number one cause of death in this country.”
Santos says he will be on the drug forever because of the alleged pre-diabetes. “It’s fantastic,” he said, “I love it.”
Ozempic — as well as other Type 2 diabetes drugs being used for weight loss, such as Wegovy and Mounjaro — have become the hottest drug in Hollywood and on the Upper East Side.
Elon Musk, “30 Rock” comedian Tracy Morgan, talk show host Sharon Osbourne and Fanatics mogul Michael Rubin have all admitted to being on the slimming shot.
The drug is approved by the FDA for diabetes, but is used unprescribed or “off-label” for weight loss.
Santos has who became a household name by having an, er, slightly overactive (and sometimes hilarious) imagination. For example, he once falsely claimed he was on the Miley Cyrus Disney show “Hannah Montana,” and that he was once a “star” on the Baruch College volleyball team.
Santos has, of course, been indicted on various fraud charges related to campaign finance and money…
