Melinda French Gates brought her son as her plus-one to the White House.
The famed philanthropist walked arm-in-arm with Rory as they made their way through the event Thursday, which also marked her only son’s 25th birthday.

Rory proved to be a handsome date for his mom, who exclusively revealed is single again following her breakup from former Fox News reporter Jon Du Pre.
Other attendees at the event, which honored Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto and his wife, Rachel Ruto, included Lavar Burton; former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama; Don McLean and Braid Paisley.
French Gates’ appearance nearly two weeks after her shock announcement that she resigned from the Gates Foundation. Her exit included a $12.5 billion payout to start her own philanthropic organization.
