KNOXVILLE, TN, November 12, 2023 – Renowned Emmy-nominated broadcaster, researcher, and scholar, Dr. Rashad Richey delivered an enthralling presentation at the National Society of Black Physicists Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. With a focus on the interconnectedness of physics, Richey also showcased his groundbreaking creation, the Neurological Brain Entrainment Device. This invention has received provisional patent status from the United States Patent & Trademark Office. The device aims to induce desired mental states by synchronizing brainwaves with external stimuli, such as lights, speech, music, or tactile sensations. Richey’s work aligns with similar research at MIT and shows promising effects in enhancing cognition through biomodulation. Notably, a case study respondent with Alzheimer’s disease experienced symptom reversal and cognitive improvement. Alzheimer’s, a leading cause of death for older Americans, lacks a known cure. The Neurological Brain Entrainment Device is set to undergo clinical trials in 2024.

Addressing a distinguished audience consisting of physicists, esteemed scholars, and physics students from diverse backgrounds, the closing plenary presenter delivered an electrifying and captivating conclusion to the three-day conference. Demonstrating his unconventional approach, both in media and at the conference, Richey left the stage but then surprisingly returned to engage in an impromptu Q&A session, graciously fielding questions from each and every member of the audience. This unorthodox interaction proved to be nothing short of pivotal, offering eye-opening insights and leaving attendees thoroughly engaged. A physics student expressed their admiration, labeling it as one of the most “pivotal, eye-opening, and engaging moments.” Drawing from their own experience, a physics professor hailing from North Carolina A&T University commended Richey’s quantum phantasmagoria effect theoretical framework for providing a captivating and enlightening bridge between the human mind and its interaction with the realm of quantum physics.

Led by esteemed physicist Dr. Stephen Roberson, the National Society of Black Physicists serves as a vital platform for Black physicists to come together, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations. This conference marked a significant milestone in promoting diversity and fostering connections within the physics community. Notable institutions and organizations, including the University of Tennessee Knoxville, Office of Naval Research Science and Technology, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, National Science Foundation, US Department of Energy, Corning, American Physical Society, Heising-Simons Foundation, Optica (formerly OSA), Team Up Together, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Morgan State University, Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, Goddard Space Flight Center, and Associated Universities Inc., generously sponsored this event. The presence of Cornell University and MIT at the conference further emphasized the strength of the Black physicists’ community.

Richey holds multiple prestigious positions in academia and business. He is a visiting Scholar at Clark Atlanta University, professor of physics and department chair at Paris Graduate School, as well as a professor of business at Morris Bown College. Richey has delivered lectures at renowned institutions such as the University of Michigan, Reinhardt University, University of West Georgia, Mercer University, and Morehouse School of Medicine, among others. Dr. Richey holds several advanced degrees, these include completing his doctoral studies in federal policy reform at Clark Atlanta University, a Master of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Pacific, a Master of Science in Applied Physics & Quantum Mechanics from Universidad Empresarial, a Doctor of Law (LLD) from Azteca University, and a Juris Doctor from Renaissance University (which has a partnership with University of Montreal law faculty) after transferring from Birmingham School of Law. Following the completion of his JD, Richey assumed the position of Director of Global Legal Operations at the International Law Group of Human and Civil Rights Attorneys, P.C., widely known as The Fairness Firm. The Fairness Firm operates offices in the United States, Canada, France, Spain, and Cape Town, South Africa.

Presently, Richey is pursuing his PhD within the quantum physics research program at Paris Graduate School, where he has been granted the prestigious Presidential Scholar Scholarship offered by the Innovative Knowledge Institute. His doctoral studies revolve around the fields of quantum physics, biophysics, and neurophysics. Notably, Richey authored a highly acclaimed book titled “Ancient Egyptian Mastery of Quantum Physics, Vibratory Frequency, and Geometric Sciences: An Overview of Complex Scientific Applications in Ancient Cultures,” which swiftly rose to become a best-selling work within the physics genre on the Amazon platform.
