Volunteers needed for Joplin financial literacy classes | KSNF/KODE

by UNN Feed

JOPLIN, Mo. — An area organization needs some help in offering financial literacy classes later this month.

NALA Adult Literacy in Joplin will be hosting three classes on that subject in a couple of weeks. Employees with US Bank will be teaching the free classes — but there’s a need for volunteers to translate what’s taught to those in attendance who may not speak English.

“We’ll be looking for at least maybe one more translator if there’s someone in the community that’s interested in translating for us, we would love to have a person who can translate Spanish and just approach us if you have another language and we’ll see if there’s a need,” said Jessica Pommert, Executive Director, NALA Adult Literacy.

All of the free financial literacy classes will be held on Monday, April 29.
