This past weekend, I flew to Los Angeles to check out the 60th Anniversary party for the iconic Italian motorsports brand Alpinestars. After landing, I hopped in an Uber and went straight to my hotel to unpack and get ready for the night.Â
Like previous Snob Diaries, mine also starts with a delivery to my hotel room. Inside the special Alpinestars box are two tees, a hat, and what will become my latest motorcycle jacket. We all have staple pieces, so this was a big moment since I ride my motorcycle daily. I’ll probably be wearing this piece for years to come.Â
Wearing a moto-jacket is a great fashion statement, but it’s even better when it’s actually functional.
Before heading to the party, I need to make my proper rounds in LA. I pick up my motorcycle for the weekend and head to Dover Street Market for my first stop. I trot around the store, eventually finding the optimal area to take an obligatory DSM mirror pic before having an impromptu iPhone 15 photoshoot outside.
Next, I take a quick trip to Highland Park for some fantastic Taiwanese food from Joy. Be sure to try the beef scallion sandwich and the Dan Dan noodles next time you’re in the area–– thank me later.
Fast forward to the evening, I pull up to Bike Shed Moto Co., where we’ll celebrate 60 years of Alpinestars. As one of the primary innovators in the motorsports industry for years, I’ve always admired the brand’s style and ethos, so being able to step out for this event was huge for me.Â
