Amber Heard didn’t OK her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk’s decision to share a picture of her in cosplay, has learned.
A source familiar with the situation tells us that the actress “did not give permission to Elon to use the photo,” which was meant to stay “private.”
The billionaire tech mogul tweeted the image in question — which showed Heard dressed up as video game character Mercy from “Overwatch” — on Tuesday to confirm an anecdote in author Walter Isaacson’s new biography of him.
We’re told Heard felt particularly slighted by the move given that “Elon asked her several times to speak to Walter” for the book, which “she did … out of respect for Elon.”
In “Elon Musk,” Isaacson detailed how the “Aquaman” star, 37, set out to obtain the sexy ensemble after the Tesla co-founder, 52, said she resembled the blond support hero.
“She spent two months designing and commissioning a head-to-toe costume so she could role-play for him,” the journalist wrote.
Musk went on to post a picture of his then-girlfriend in the costume on his social media platform and explained, “She did dress up as Mercy. It was awesome.”
The photo — which was seemingly taken on a cellphone in someone’s home — showed Heard in a cleavage-baring latex bodysuit with matching angel-like wings and a gold halo headpiece.
Reps for the former flames — who dated on and off for a year beginning in 2017 following Heard’s highly publicized divorce from Johnny Depp — did not immediately respond to ’s requests for comment.
Elsewhere in the biography, Isaacson claimed the Twitter owner’s friends and brother, Kimbal Musk, “hated [Heard] with a passion that made their distaste for Justine [Wilson, Elon’s first wife] pale.”
