Trinidad James Thinks Iggy Azalea ‘Shouldn’t Have Said Anything’ In Tory Lanez Case

by UNN Feed

Trinidad James has shared his thoughts on Iggy Azalea chiming in on the on-going controversy surrounding Tory Lanez decade-long sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

The Trinidadian-American recently caught up with TMZ at LAX, where he shared his stance on the issue.

“I think the best thing I can say is, if you shoot somebody, you should go to jail to think about your actions,” he began, sharing with the news outlet his initial thoughts on Tory Lanez’s 10-year bid.

“If you didn’t shoot somebody and you go to jail and you doing 10 years, for something you didn’t do, It kind of reminds me of the Kendrick Lamar lyric of like the one who pulls the trigger has to live forever because after you kill somebody they die right then and there. But you got to think about killing somebody. So it’s the same analogy.”

He continued, “It’s like if this person didn’t shoot you, right? If it didn’t happen and they’re going to jail for 10 years, their life is not over. But, their career is hurt tremendously. Then you have to live with that, forever.”

Later, when asked his thoughts regarding Iggy Azalea (among others) publicly sounding off about the controversy — suggesting a 5-year stint would have been more suitable for the crime — he proposed the rapper keep her nose out of grown folks’ business. “I mean, Iggy Azalea said how she felt, She shouldn’t have said anything. It’s not her business, right? But, it is her opinion.

Further, the “Skeeyee” recording artist recommended the 31-year-old “write music” to keep his spirits high.

On Monday (August 7) Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) appeared in court in Los Angeles for his sentencing hearing, roughly eight months after being found guilty of firing several shots at Megan during a drunken dispute in July 2020.
