Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will be headed to Sundance in the summer … or at least his documentary is.

A special screening of Stephen Curry: Underrated, directed by acclaimed director Peter Nicks, is set for a 2023 Sundance Film Festival premiere. Featuring Ryan Coogler and Erick Peyton, the documentary explores the evolution of Curry from an undersized sharpshooter from Davidson to one of the NBA’s all-time greats.

“Stephen Curry is one of the most influential, dynamic, and unexpected players in the history of basketball,” reads the documentary’s official description. “Intimate cinematic video, archival footage, and on-camera interviews reveal Curry’s rise from an undersized college player to a four-time world champion.”

Underrated is among four new films added to the initial announcement. Beyond Utopia, Flora and Son, Past Lives and Earth Mama, round out the lineup.
