A protest outside the US Treasury building in Washington demanded answers to DOGE’s illegal access to payment systems. Schumer referred to Musk’s efforts as a ‘hostile takeover.’ Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas spoke at the rally, saying constitutional “crisis is here” as Musk’s DOGE seeks to shut down USAID and gain access to Treasury payment systems. Crockett noted that elected officials seeking to enter the Treasury building were not allowed inside.
