Visit YMI’s Corner Spot for an art exhibit featuring the work of photojournalist Andrea Clark.
Clark’s photographs capture the full spectrum of community life in Asheville’s East End in 1970. The images portray a neighborhood with bustling business and street life, gardens where people grew their own food, and sidewalks on which children played under the watchful eyes of elders.
Her discerning eye has brought the East End back to those who remember it, as well as those who never knew it.
“That’s Me!” is on display through October 3, 2024. View the exhibit from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday at the YMI, 39 South Market Street in downtown Asheville.
