Lola Glaudini claimed “Blow” co-star Johnny Depp “reamed” her out on the set of the 2001 crime thriller.
In a recently resurfaced interview from January, the “Criminal Minds” star claimed Depp berated her for laughing during a take despite the film’s director, Ted Demme, allegedly instructing her to do so.
“The very first day, I haven’t even met Johnny Depp at this point,” she told co-host Alex 2 Tone during an appearance on the “Powerful Truth Angels” podcast, noting that she was laying on a “bear skin rug in a bikini” in the background of the shot.
“Ted Demme comes over to me, and he’s like, ‘OK Lola, when Johnny Depp says this certain word, I want you to burst out laughing like [he] just told you the funniest thing over here.’”
When the cameras began rolling, the actress did exactly what she was told to do. However, her laughter allegedly struck a nerve with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor, 60.
“Johnny Depp, when they say cut, walks over to me, comes up to me, sticks his finger in my face … and he goes, ‘Who the f—k do you think you are? Who the f—k do you think you are? Shut the f—k up. I’m out here, and I’m trying to f—king say my lines and you’re f—king pulling focus. You f—king idiot. Oh, now, oh now it’s not so funny? Now you can shut up? Now you can f—king shut the f—k up? The quiet that you are right now, that’s how you f—king stay.’”
Glaudini, now 52, was left shaken by the alleged incident, especially after spending so many years admiring Depp’s work.
“This was my first studio movie, I’ve just done indies until then,” she explained. “And I have the star who I have idolized, who I am so excited to work with, reamed me in my face. The only thing going through my head was, ‘Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry.’”
