Matilda: The Musical – Full Cast Sneak Preview Performance

Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 6 p.m.

See the actors up close, hear some songs, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the acting process. For audiences of all ages who love heartwarming tales of triumph against all odds. Matilda: The Musical will be playing at Asheville Community Theatre April 12 and May 5. This sneak preview performanace is free; everyone is invited.

Rewilding Your Space

Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m.

Join Buncombe County’s Environmental Educators as they share practical tips on how to re-wild your land (or balcony) to support a healthy habitat for butterflies, birds, native plants, and your family. They will also discuss yard foraging and share recipes for delicious spring greens. No registration is required for this free program.

Live Music featuring the UNCA Bluegrass Band

Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m.

A highly energetic and entertaining ensemble, their rich repertoire includes traditional bluegrass, western swing, blues, old-time fiddle tunes, and gospel. This free performance is sponsored by the Friends of Pack Library.

Information Session with Green Built Alliance

Wednesday, March 27 at 4 p.m.

Energy Savers Network, a program of Green Built Alliance, provides free energy efficiency upgrades to income-qualified households in Buncombe County. Join us for an informative session where we’ll talk about who is eligible for these services and how you can sign up. Learn how to become a part of the volunteer crew. Get hands-on skills to implement energy efficiency upgrades. This event is free, but you do need to register.

Jeannette Walls Reading and Booksigning

Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m.

NYT best-selling author Jeannette Walls will talk about writing her new book, Hang the Moon. Seating for this free event is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 6 p.m. Hang the Moon will be released on March 26 and can be pre-ordered from Malaprop’s.
