Bijou Phillips is back on the scene and apparently having some fun, is happy to report, after living through the horrifying conviction of her husband, Danny Masterson, and her subsequent split from the disgraced “That ’70s Show” actor.
The actress stuck by Masterson throughout his rape trial, then stunned Hollywood watchers by divorcing him after his sentence came down in September.
She’s been — understandably — under the radar since.
But on Thursday night, a spy spotted the “Raising Hope” star hanging out at sceney spot Sartiano’s with Nicky Hilton Rothschild.
“It’s like, ‘Danny who?’ ” said a spy, approvingly.
We hear Phillips was “upbeat” while hanging with Hilton, and that Scott Sartiano — the hot spot’s owner and a longtime NYC nightlife guru — and another man who the source didn’t recognize joined the pair for dinner.
Hilton Rothschild and Phillips are old pals. They made headlines in 2010 when they went to collect the belongings, and dog, of their recently deceased friend Casey Johnson at the home of her lover, reality star Tila Tequila. But Tequila called the cops, claiming the pair were trying to break in. No charges were filed.
Phillips could use a good night on the town.
Masterson — whom she married in 2011 and with whom she has a daughter— was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for two rapes he committed in 2003.
Two weeks later, she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. It surprised many observers since Phillips had been an almost constant presence at the trial.
She won sole custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Fianna.
Phillips is the daughter of Mamas & the Papas singer John Phillips, and the half-sister of Wilson Phillips singer Chynna and singer and actress Mackenzie.
